Top Learning! 100 Award Winners to Address the Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo 2013
Oceanside, CA (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Elearning! Media Group (EMG) announced that two of the top Learning! 100 Award winners will address the expected 3,000 attendee audience on strategic alignment. Karl-Heinz Oehler, Senior Vice President of Global Talent Management for the Hertz Corporation will join Michael Yakiemchuk, the Director of Americas Education from VMWare to talk about their strategic alignment strategies and imperatives.
Karl-Heinz Oehler’s responsibilities at Hertz includes Talent Acquisition, Succession & High Potential Management, Performance and Career Management, Organizational Learning, Organization Development & Design, Human Capital Measurement, and HR Due Diligence and Post Merger integration. Mr. Oehler is a direct report to the President of Hertz Corporation.
Michael Yakiemchuk has the full P&L responsibility for a $120 million dollar customer and partner education operation at VMWare, which expands to a $300 million dollar operation with partners. Mr. Yakiemchuk’s operation faces the customer and partner communities and is strategic to VMWare’s growth, financial, partner and customer strategies.
This panel discussion will introduce the attendees to these top learning organizations, and in turn, the panel is expected to discuss innovations they’ve made in their enterprises; collaboration efforts with internal, customer and partner organizations; their culture; and how their programs helped them align their initiatives to the overall strategy and goals of their enterprises. They will further discuss how the strategic alignment process occurs in their organizations, and how strategies and goals at the senior executive level translate into department and individual objectives throughout their organizations.
Attendees in this session are expected to learn how to align the learning and development organizations with corporate strategies and objectives; tools used to manage this process; how to build a culture of innovation that supports individual learning; and the pitfalls and complications in the design of an effective learning program. But beyond these learning objectives, the attendees are expected to see how the conversation changes at the senior levels of an organization when learning and talent management is viewed as an ‘investment’ in achieving strategic business imperatives.
