Toshiba Adds Multi-Purpose 4400 Series to Three-Phase Uninterruptible Power Systems Line
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) today launched the new 4400 Series three-phase uninterruptible power system (UPS). The next-generation UPS utilizes double-conversion, all insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) technology and is available in power ranges from 15 to 80kVA. Ideal applications include small to mid-size datacenters, medical and healthcare, hotels, casinos, banking, retail, telecommunications, broadcasting, and light industrial.
The 4400 Series UPS features include a digitally controlled IGBT input rectifier. This advanced technology allows for a .99 input power factor and a wide voltage and frequency input window without utilizing batteries, making it ideal for generators. The series incorporates an intelligent low harmonic IGBT pulse-width modulation (PWM) output providing critical loads with continuous clean power. The state-of-the-art IGBT DC to DC converter and the large robust DC capacitor bank allows for battery longevity reducing total cost of ownership. The UPS includes an easy to navigate local touch screen interface with a large memory capacity. The 0.9 output power factor maximizes total available power, and the 100% load step and 100% unbalanced load capability is ideal for all critical load applications.
“The 4400 Series was designed from the ground up with an emphasis on installation convenience and efficiency,” said Greg Mack, Vice President and General Manager of the TIC Power Electronics Division. “The result is a multi-purpose UPS that is easy to install and customize for multiple markets and applications.”
The small footprint, total front access mechanical design requires zero rear clearance and includes features such as top, bottom, and/or side cable entry, standard sized air filter provisions, and lockable keyed doors.
A variety of 4400 Series UPS models are available for application specific requirements, such as internal battery models and models with internal transformers for numerous input and output voltage requirements. The 4400 Series includes matching battery cabinets for extended run times and matching auxiliary cabinets for load distribution and maintenance bypass system configurations. Remote monitoring of the 4400 Series is capable with the Toshiba RemotEye® 4 multi-protocol UPS monitoring solution. Toshiba backs the reliability of the 4400 Series UPS with a 3-year onsite warranty.
