Total Vein Care Attends World UIP Conference
(PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- In September, Dr. Steven Kaufman of Total Vein Care Center in Fort Collins, Colorado attended the World International Union of Phlebology conference in Boston, Massachusetts. This conference, first ever in the US, using discussion panels, speakers, and hands-on workshops, provides attendees with the latest information on vein disease diagnosis and treatment. TVC maintains a continual commitment to gathering information that will help provide better health care for patients and the community.
More than 300 internationally recognized faculty, representatives from all over the world and delegates from more than 25 international phlebological societies participated in this historic event, providing an international perspective unmatched by any other venous meeting this year. The disease of chronic venous insufficiency can leading to physical discomfort caused by varicose veins and spider veins. Extremely common in men and women, chronic venous insufficiency affects over half the U.S. population at some point in their lives. While spider veins are very small, reddish veins on the surface of the skin, varicose veins are much larger, bulging, tangled veins that may appear bluish in color. These conditions, caused by venous insufficiency, are treatable and most of the time covered by the individual’s health insurance.
