Town of Dumfries Voters Use Verity Voting System in Special Election
DUMFRIES, VA (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- The Prince William Virginia Electoral Board gave its citizens the opportunity to be the first to use Hart InterCivic’s Verity Voting System during the Town of Dumfries Special Election. The election was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 6:00 A.M to 7:00 P.M. in the Office of Elections conference room located at 9250 Lee Avenue, Suite 1, Manassas, VA 20110.
The live special election is one of the last steps that the Verity Voting system must complete before certification in the Commonwealth. The Virginia Electoral Board will meet on Friday, April 17, 2015 to expedite the certification of the Verity Voting system.
“We’ve had great feedback overall with voters using the Verity Voting system,” said Jessica McKay, Hart InterCivic Professional Services Project Manager, who was on site as part of the team helping to support the special election. “We are excited about the opportunity to bring an easy to use, modern voting system to Prince William County. The election will help the Prince William team get used to their new Verity equipment and ensure public confidence for the future.”
