Townsend Security Releases Major Update to PGP Command Line for IBM z/OS

Olympia, WA (PRWEB) January 29, 2015 -- Townsend Security, a leading authority in data privacy solutions, today announced a major update to PGP Command Line for IBM z/OS. The latest release adds new extensions to natively support conversion of text data between EBCDIC and ASCII character sets. The new features follow the same naming and usage conventions as standard PGP options and will look and feel natural to experienced PGP command line users.

Additionally, text conversion is not limited to EBCDIC and ASCII. Any character set supported on the local IBM z/OS installation can be specified for any other platform (Windows, Linux, etc.) that implements PGP, allowing text to be exchanged transparently.
