Individuals in the Hattiesburg area who would like to join in the fun this February can sign up for the 4th Annual Mad Dash to Mardi Gras 5K today. A family-friendly event, the Mad Dash to Mardi Gras 5K is hosted by the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary of Hattiesburg and will be held at Kamper Park on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at 8 a.m. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club in Hattiesburg and will be used to purchase new playground equipment and sporting goods.
Runners who join the Toyota of Hattiesburg team at this event will have the opportunity to sign up for a 5K run, a 2-mile walk or a 1-mile fun run. All participants who register early will receive an event T-shirt. Awards will be provided for 5K winners, top finishers in each age group, top finishers in the 2-mile walk and all fun run participants. Each event promises an excellent opportunity to improve personal fitness and support the local community.
