1.       Share high-value content. Content with no value won't be shared or liked. And, if it's not shareable or likable, it's not going to convert. Therefore, businesses must create and share high-value content with their audience. High-value content is content that solves a prospect's challenges, helps them meet a goal, or addresses their pain points.

2.      Share content appropriately. Assuming the content your business has created is high-value, the next step is to use it appropriately. Each social media platform serves a purpose. Buyers visit various social media platforms for different reasons. They also use the platforms differently. So, the content shared on a given platform should be optimized to reflect how and why buyers consume content on each platform.

3.      Test, measure, and modify. Don't be shy about experimenting with content and how to promote it on social media. Of course, businesses need to give their strategy time to take root. But, if after some time, it's evident that strategy isn't working, try another. Social media is continually changing. So, adopt a flexible mindset and experiment until you find a way to connect and convert buyers.

4.      Stay ahead of the curve. Because social media does change—it's a reflection of culture after all—try to anticipate and plan for new trends. Delegate the task of testing avant-garde practices to a staff member. Put them in charge of trying out new ideas, themes, and content, and see if they discover any new gems that could turn you into a social media powerhouse.
