Transformative Wave Expands Capacity as Activity Increases in 2016
Kent, WA (PRWEB) May 03, 2016 -- Transformative Wave, a leading energy efficiency innovator, continues to position itself for sustained growth in 2016. Transformative Wave is coming off its most successful year in 2015. That success has led the company to expand its capacity to meet increased demand.
The company is the developer of the CATALYST, a complete HVAC energy efficiency retrofit solution for constant volume rooftop units (RTUs) that are already in place. With CATALYST installations in 34 of the 50 states, as well as two Canadian provinces, estimates are that the solution is already saving almost 35 million kWh a year; a conservative estimate of energy cost savings is well in excess of $4 million annually for Transformative Wave’s customers.
Transformative Wave has increased the size of its production facility by more than two-and-a-half times, from 3,000 square feet to 8,000. The expanded space has made room for five, 32-foot programming/quality control benches. This allows the staff to have dozens of units simultaneously powered up for programming and quality assurance testing. Overall, Transformative Wave’s ability to build and program CATALYST kits has multiplied by a factor of eight with this improvement in its operations.

The first nationwide rollout for the solution was with Whole Foods Market, which received an award for the energy savings efforts driven by the CATALYST. Also, the U.S. Navy’s Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific and Hawaii, along with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, were similarly awarded for their savings spearheaded by the CATALYST. In addition, Transformative Wave’s Affiliate Partner Network, typically made up of mechanical contractors, has grown each year as more companies become aware of the potential savings the CATALYST solution puts into play.
In the wake of these success, and the record of expansion, Transformative Wave reports interest from and traction with a number of major national and regional multi-site clients. The past successes and growth indicate a bright future, in 2016 and beyond.
The facility expansion will allow Transformative Wave to be able to respond to increased demand as more companies seek the monetary and operational value inherent in the high-quality energy efficiency retrofits the company produces.
