TransVoyant Announces Selection by Army TCIL for GeoVigilance
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- TransVoyant, LLC, today announced its selection by the United States Army’s Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS-A) for the evaluation of its GeoVigilance™ activity-based intelligence platform capabilities within the Tactical Capabilities Innovation Lab (TCIL) environment.
TCIL is an extension of DCGS-A, focused on the next phase of capabilities for the warfighter. TCIL employs agile development and integration of new capabilities by “bridging” developers, vendors and solutions with operational users in a cohesive isolated test environment. During the evaluation process, TransVoyant will partner with the TCIL team to integrate its technology capabilities in the lab while gaining direct feedback from end user analysts. Through this process, TransVoyant and the TCIL team will ensure developed capabilities align to meet mission requirements.
The architecture and services of TransVoyant’s GeoVigilance platform provide improved capabilities that positively impact Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) planning, collection management, and synchronization at the warfighting unit level. GeoVigilance will enhance the development of ISR requirements and synchronization plans; initiate system specific tasks and requests for collection; and automate the dissemination of actionable intelligence. TransVoyant will work alongside TCIL personnel to integrate GeoVigilance capabilities into the current baseline cloud system, mature new capabilities identified, and prove the extensibility of these capabilities to the operational environment.
GeoVigilance is the culmination of over 17 years of TransVoyant’s experience with developing activity based intelligence and situational awareness solutions. Concepts proven in previously delivered applications have been included in this powerful decision support platform. GeoVigilance’s ease of use enables even the most non-technical of DCGS-A users, including warfighters in the field, to make real-time spatial, temporal, contextual, attribute and preference-based decisions that improve future mission outcomes.
“The results of GeoVigilance capabilities are impactful and can affect the real-time behavior of people or systems, compress the cycle for ISR planning and execution, and better enable high-consequence decision-making,” said Wayne Chesley, TransVoyant Vice President and General Manager. “In addition GeoVigilance is poised to enable the Army to better protect valuable global assets and warfighters and better optimize scarce resources against the highest priority events or groups of events.”
GeoVigilance ingests and evaluates both static and live data feeds from multiple sources – such as sensor, weather, traffic, video and asset location data. It allows users to create event rules and decision algorithms quickly and efficiently with the ability to change event definitions on demand with no system restart. Automated alerts are sent to decision makers or other systems – driving faster and better-informed decisions.
“With GeoVigilance, users and decision makers can act faster and spend a greater amount of their available time focused on evaluation and decision-making, such as deploying or reassigning sensor assets,” stated Chesley.
