Traycer Names Dave Buse as New CEO
South San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- Traycer, Inc today announced that its Board of Directors has named Dave Buse as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Buse comes to the company with more than 30 years of experience building high performance businesses focused on innovating, making, and selling advanced sensing products.
Immediately before joining Traycer, Buse was the Vice President and General Manager of the Storage Network Test business at JDSU, where he consistently grew year-over-year revenues and drove the company to hold more than a 50% share in a highly competitive industry.
Prior to JDSU, Dave was at Finisar as a Senior VP and GM where he transformed the test group into a highly profitable business, led the acquisition of the Infineon optics products, and grew the optics revenue at over two-times the industry average as head of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Finisar, Dave held senior sales and marketing positions at Raychem (acquired by Tyco) where he spent over five years in Europe (France and the UK) expanding product lines and sales channels. Earlier in his career, Dave held management positions at Texas Instruments, where he pioneered the implementation of statistical process control in their semi-conductor factories. Prior to entering the business world, Dave was in the U.S. Air Force where he was a pilot, instructor pilot, and flight examiner. Dave earned his BS degree from the United States Air Force Academy and his MBA from UCLA.
"We're pleased to announce the hiring of Dave Buse as the new CEO of Traycer," says Frank Levinson, Chairman of Traycer's Board of Directors. "Dave's 30 years in the industry will be an invaluable resource as we move forward with productization and will enhance our partnerships with our customers. Dave has a strong record of bringing products to market and possesses access to sales and distribution channels in the US and abroad. He's a tremendous addition to the team and we're fortunate that he became available to us."
Buse will be located in the company’s new San Francisco office. He succeeds Brad Beasecker, who founded Traycer along with Dr. Lee Mosbacker and saw the company through multiple rounds of financing and expansion. Beasecker will continue with Traycer as its Chief Financial Officer.
