Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to experience one of Atlanta’s most beloved neighborhoods and celebrate the evolution of the architecture and design of the historic Druid Hills neighborhood.
Callanwolde Artist & Pottery Market:
In partnership with Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, new this year the tour will also offer an Artist & Pottery Market and open the Callanwolde mansion to tourgoers. Stop and shop at the Artist & Pottery Market, visit the onsite coffee shop and café, and tour the 27,000-square foot Tudor Revival mansion built in 1920 for Charles Howard Candler, an heir to the Coca-Cola fortune. The market features the work of potters, photographers, jewelers, sculptors, woodworkers, painters, weavers, glassworkers, and more.
Food, lectures and entertainment:
Visit Emory Village for lunch, cocktails, dinner, a series of Bar Talks, and entertainment throughout the weekend including:
• Moonlighter Jazz Ensemble, at Emory Village, Friday – Sunday, May 2 – May 4, 5:00 – 7:00 PM
• Frank G. Neely of Frank G. Neely Design Associates will discuss historic residential architecture restoration, renovation, and reinvention. Neely is a three-time recipient of the Atlanta Urban Design Commission Award of Excellence. Friday, May 2, 4:30pm at Slice & Pint.
• Eric King and Holly Brooks of King Landscaping invite you to bring pictures of your own yard (preferably JPG on a thumb drive) and will choose examples for discussion. Saturday, May 3, 5:30pm at Saba.
• Larry Bosarge of Southern Outdoor Construction & Design will explain the significance of masonry maintenance in new and historic restoration projects. He specializes in highly detailed and custom hardscapes. Sunday, May 4, 4:30pm at Ink & Elm.

The tour events take place Friday, May 2, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday, May 3, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; and Sunday, May 4, 1:00 – 5:00 PM.
Callanwolde Artist & Pottery market events take place Friday, May 2, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday, May 3, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM; and Sunday, May 4, 1:00 – 5:00 PM.
Tickets may be purchased in advance on the website: druidhillstour.org. Proceeds from the tour and events benefit the Druid Hills neighborhood, which the noted landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted designed during the late 19th century. The neighborhood is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Will call and ticket pick-up:
Will Call will be located at 1236 Springdale Road. Please pick up tickets purchased in advance at this location during tour hours.
Parking, trolley and restrooms:
Parking is available along the Tour route where designated by standard signage. Please observe the “No Tour Parking” signs where posted. Parking at Callanwolde for Artist & Pottery Market ONLY. No Tour Parking available at Callanwolde and Emory Village. Restrooms are available at Callanwolde and Emory Village merchants. The trolley will run during Tour hours along the Tour route, stopping at each trolley stop in the order listed on the ticket and website. The by-walks provide walking passage between parking on Springdale Road, Oxford Road, and Oakdale Road.
Please note:
No photography, smoking, food beverages, backpacks or strollers allowed inside homes. This is a walking tour of historical homes, some of which may have steep and narrow stairways. Comfortable shoes are recommended; high heels are not allowed in the homes. Most of the tour gardens and the Artist & Pottery Market are wheelchair accessible.
