Trident University International Introduces Doctor of Business Administration Degree
Cypress, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2017 -- Trident University International (Trident) is excited to announce the addition of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, its fifth doctoral program and second within the Glenn R. Jones College of Business.
The first program Trident (founded as Touro University International) offered when it opened in 1998 was the Ph.D. in Business Administration.
The 100% online DBA program will launch during Trident’s Fall 2017 session, starting on October 16th.
“With an increased number of students interested in a professional practice doctorate alternative to the research-oriented Ph.D. program, Trident’s new DBA program will prepare professionals with the decision-making and strategic skills needed to succeed at the highest levels of the business world,” said Dr. Indira Guzman, Doctoral Director, Trident’s Glenn R. Jones College of Business.
The DBA program is the highest academic degree for business professionals who seek to advance in management, executive, and consulting careers in public and private organizations. Graduates are expected to master the tools and skills needed to succeed in these roles, which are projected to have above average growth.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects an average job growth rate of 8% for management occupations and 14% for consultants through 2024.
Critical thinking, evidence-based decision making, and leadership development are some of the key areas of focus for students. Through the discussion and analysis of contemporary case studies, students are given the opportunity to build off of their master’s level learning in a challenging and collaborative environment.
The program culminates in an applied doctoral study project which allows students to apply theories learned in coursework to an issue they may face in the workplace.
The faculty in the DBA program, all of whom were actively involved in its development, have extensive corporate and academic experience. These instructors include Dr. Indira Guzman, Dr. Stefan Hanson, Dr. Bruce Gillies, and Dr. Randall Fandrich.
