Trinity Broadcasting Network's iTBN Online Viewing Experience Features Daily “SLICE” From TBN's Signature “Praise the Lord” Shows
(PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- For the past forty years Trinity Broadcasting Network's signature “Praise the Lord” broadcast, one of the longest running nightly shows in television history, has been inspiring and encouraging viewers across America and the world with the best in Christian music, talk, and ministry.
Now the global religious network's innovative iTBN website — an exclusive viewing experience offering a vast clearinghouse of past and present TBN programming along with real-time access to TBN's worldwide networks — has launched “SLICE,” a daily inspirational dose of the best moments from recent “Praise the Lord” shows.
“'Praise the Lord' has been a constant for TBN right from the time we went on the air back in 1973,” said TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch. “The spontaneity, the fresh approach to TV talk and to religious broadcasting, has made it a viewer favorite and one of Christian television's top-rated shows. 'SLICE' provides our viewers with daily video snapshots from some of our most recent shows — an encouraging word, a life-changing insight from a guest, or one of the many unrehearsed 'God moments' that have helped make 'Praise the Lord' so popular throughout the years.”
TBN Personality and Director of Social Media Reba Toney noted that the dramatic increase in the number of viewers joining TBN's online community through Facebook and Twitter prompted the launch of “SLICE” — giving on-the-run viewers a quick, 30- to 45-second sampling of “Praise the Lord” happenings over the past week.
“We post regular 'SLICE' videos on TBN's Facebook and Twitter sites, as well as on our 'Daily Slice' blog page,” Ms. Toney said. “The response has been tremendous, and we've found that the clips are driving viewers over to our iTBN site, where they find a treasure trove of TBN on-demand content, from past and present 'Praise the Lord' shows and an enormous archive of ministry programming, to movies, music and concerts, shows for kids and teens, and much more. There's almost 20,000 hours of high-quality free viewing content on iTBN!”
TBN's Daily “SLICE” has been online about a week, and includes video clips from Grammy Award winning Gospel recording artist and “Praise the Lord” host Jason Crabb and popular author and speaker Lisa Bevere, and even features a special appearance by civil rights leader Jesse Jackson during TBN's historic “Praise the Lord” broadcast at Birmingham, Alabama's 50th anniversary observance of the civil rights movement.
“We're finding that new technology and social networking are attracting a whole new generation of viewers who are tuning in to the 26-plus members of our Trinity Broadcasting Family of Networks,” said Matthew Crouch. “We think innovations like 'SLICE' and iTBN are helping drive that trend.”
