TripAdvisor Names Woodloch Pines Best Hotel for Families in America
Hawley, PA (PRWEB) January 22, 2015 -- Woodloch Pines, an all-inclusive family resort located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, has been selected by TripAdvisor as the number one best large hotel for families in the United States and the 6th best in the world for their annual Travelers’ Choice Awards.

The family resort is particularly enthused about the news after experiencing an unusually difficult summer and fall. On August 21, 2014, Woodloch Pines Resort experienced severe flash flooding, causing substantial damage to the indoor pool, kiddie splash zone, gift shop, bar, locker rooms, hallways and 28 guest accommodations. Since then, employees have been working tirelessly alongside clean-up and construction crews to ensure that renovations and repairs were completed as quickly as possible. Finally, on Friday, January 16th, the Poconos resort reopened its indoor pool once again, completely renovated and improved.

Plans are being laid out for an exciting new water feature - Dueling Slides, as they are being called. They will be adjacent to the current pool, an area that was previously home to racquetball courts. The 30-foot structure will offer two identical slides that will mirror each other and be used in tandem so that guests can race against one another. “We are honored by this recognition from TripAdvisor and relieved to have our pool open. 2015 is off to a great start, and we are certain that this will be a banner year for our property.”
