Truck Load Rate Checking Tool Added to ComFreight Load Board

ComFreight has now released version 1.0 of its truck load freight rate checking tool (or rate index) to all of its current and future paying subscribers. The new technology pulls in average rates and bids from the system's internal freight marketplace and provides its users with an accurate snapshot of what the current truck load market rate is for specific trucking lanes.
ComFreight is a load board and freight marketplace web app that provides a service that allows users like shippers, carriers and brokers to interact with one another in a freight matching community and logistics marketplace. ComFreight also uses cloud computing to provide users with a way to store and send documents from any device with a data connection. The progression of load board technology has sometimes been slower than in other areas of the trucking and logistics industry. ComFrieght is trying to change this with a progressive software development based approach. The rate index tool is an example of one of these recent advancements.
"Users can now use the truck load rate index tool to check any truck load rate in the United States or Canada from any smart phone, tablet, computer or other device with a data connection," said Steve Kochan, Co-Founder and CEO of ComFreight. Kochan says there will be more updates to the rate index that has just launched in beta in the coming months. The rate index works by a user inputting a origin city and a delivery city for a specific lane and then displays the most accurate average truck load rate to the user on their screen.
"User feedback and input is what we value most of all and we continue to use this input to streamline, speed up and improve the platform for our end users," Kochan also said. ComFreight also plans to release reporting on the freight industry's pricing trends in by aggregating more specific and accurate bidding data from the site's activity.
Kochan will be updating with more info on the evolving technology that ComFreight in developing in the coming months. In the meantime the logistics technology space continues to become more and more crowded and competitive. ComFreight is moving forward with mobile and feature based initiatives in order to meet the growing demand for more intuitive capabilities from its current and growing user base.
