Fed up with the low quality "mechanically separated" meat product being offered at local markets, co-founders Michael Carvalho and Jason Kurpjuweit decided to create an all-natural handcrafted beef jerky product. Operating under a lean management style, they look to keep costs low and profits high, buying meat directly from the butcher to allow for reasonable prices on higher quality cuts. Crafted with locally sourced produce, True Gentlemen’s Jerky uses smoke-infused marinades to flavor the dehydrated jerky, adding no preservatives or nitrates during the process.
