Trunnell Electric Sparks Recent Dramatic Transformation for Up-and-Coming Biotech Solutions Provider
Rockville, Maryland (PRWEB) September 28, 2016 -- Trunnell Electric, which has been serving commercial and residential customers in Greater Washington, D.C. for three generations, played a pivotal role in the recently completed remodeling of the corporate headquarters for Gaithersburg, Md.-based Digital Infuzion, The Trunnell team provided “exceptional” electrical contracting services to help accommodate the growth and expanding operations of the up-and-coming provider of custom biomedical informatics solutions.
Digital Infuzion was named by CIOReview as one of the top 20 most promising biotech solutions providers in 2016, “so it was important for the build-out of the space to reflect the high-tech nature of the business, the corporate culture and success of the company,” said Brad Trunnell, Trunnell Electric’s third-generation V.P. of Commercial Services.
“This was a complicated project, but effective leadership in the field and the cooperation among the trades contributed to its success. Time efficiencies that we were able to start early in the process also made a difference in timely project completion,” said Trunnell.
Trunnell’s scope of work included the challenging installation of state-of-the-art decorative LED electrical panels in the space as well as several lengthy, custom-fabricated LED track lighting systems.
“There were numerous change orders to the original architect’s plans that came on the fly on a daily basis,” said Trunnell. “These had to be addressed quickly and professionally to maintain the schedule and good working relationships.”
Trunnell Electric was a subcontractor to leading Maryland-based commercial construction contractor Therrien Waddell, Inc., which served as the general contractor on the project. Trunnell Electric was selected as the electrical contractor “because of its reputation and history of successfully executing complex, fast-track commercial projects,” said Daniel Coffey, Therrien Waddell’s Vice President.
According to Coffey, “Trunnell Electric did an exceptional job on this project. Their field crews and management team went to extreme lengths to solve problems with material deliveries and existing conditions while keeping the critical scheduled occupancy date. The client recognized the extra efforts and has repeatedly complimented them on the excellent work.”
Added Coffey, “This is why we have over a 40-year relationship with Trunnell as a proven partner and teammate. Trunnell is not your average electrical contractor.”
Other notable 2016 projects for Trunnell Electric, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, include work through another premier construction company, Manekin, for the Architect of the Capitol, Children’s Hospital and the Library of Congress.
