TruWest Credit Union Raises $25,000 for Local Childrens’ Hospitals
Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- TruWest Credit Union employees in Phoenix, Arizona and Austin, Texas raised $25,000 for local children’s hospitals at their Annual Employee Holiday Breakfast Auction on December 5. This is the highest total raised by the credit union in the Holiday Auction’s 22-year history.
The Arizona auction was held at the credit union’s headquarters in Tempe, Ariz. The event raised $19,000 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. All funds will go to the hospital’s 1 Darn Cool School, which is one of only a few hospital-based schools that employs its own teaching staff. The program is reliant on the funding it receives from TruWest and other Arizona credit unions. This money ensures hospitalized children have a positive and encouraging learning environment during their treatment.
The Texas auction, held concurrently at the credit union’s Howard Lane branch, is now in its 6th year. Austin-based employees raised more than $6,000 for Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
TruWest Credit Union thanks everyone including vendors, credit union business members and employees who helped to make a TruDifference in the community by donating to the 2013 Holiday Auction.
