TSL Media Announces Sale of TheScriptLab.com to Coverfly
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2016 -- Screenwriting education portal TheScriptLab.com has been acquired by screenplay feedback platform provider Coverfly for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2010, The Script Lab is a comprehensive resource for screenwriters, filmmakers, and content creators, offering a broad range of educational and motivational content and services. With over 100,000 followers across its social channels and 200,000 unique monthly viewers on its website, The Script Lab maintains one of the largest and most engaged online communities in its space.
TSL Media and Coverfly successfully launched an online screenplay feedback joint venture in January 2016. As Derek Ruth, original founder of The Script Lab and TSL Media CTO, emphasizes, “the partnership enabled us to bring the next level of screenplay development expertise to writers around the world with a high degree of confidence.”

TSL Media intends to use the proceeds of the sale to accelerate customer acquisition efforts for its early-stage Media & Entertainment SaaS business, ScriptNoted. Both parties expect the transition to be completed by November 30, 2016.
