Tulsa Podcast Takes On Hollywood
Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) May 25, 2016 -- A new radio podcast originally conceived to assist persons with brain disease issues has signed to join the line up of KABC radio in Los Angeles. The show, focused on health, will be produced in Tulsa at Drapp Studios and transmitted to Los Angeles each week.
According to Richard Roby, producer of the broadcast, the new show will be one hour long and will offer listeners new insight on health-related issues of many sorts. Focus on Health will feature information, music, and news aimed at patients, families, caregivers, and the professional public.
“When we heard some of the initial programs, we knew we wanted that show as part of our summer line up,” according to Debbie Paine, spokesperson of KABC. “The program will be a perfect conduit to listeners of KABC and will allow us to offer a venue of public service as well as quality entertainment.”
KABC is the flagship station of the American Broadcasting Company.
“KABC is delighted to have Focus on Health join its line-up of programming that meets the need of its diverse public,” Paine said.
Roby, who now lives in a nursing home, conceived the program when he realized that there wasn't enough information on Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
“I wanted to create something that would allow listeners to know more about the importance of health, find hope, and be inspired in all aspects of their life, no matter the circumstance.” Roby said. “It is very exciting to see it continue to reach to all of America and the world.”
Roby, the originator and producer of the program will continue to work with a quality staff to provide valued information. Along with Roby the staff includes Kathy Casey, Co-Host and Co-Producer; Derek Drapp, Marketing Director; Louis Drapp, Chief Engineer and Associate Music Director; and Jon Glazer, Music Director.
“With this staff, so willing to go the extra mile and producing quality programming, we hope to provide a venue of information and entertainment that will help other people lead a more fulfilling life,” Roby said.
