Tung Chi Lee of Taiwan Wins L. Ron Hubbard's International Illustrators of the Future Contest and a Trip to Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Tung Chi Lee of Taiwan will be honored at the 31st annual L. Ron Hubbard Achievement awards being held in April 2015 in Los Angeles at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. The event will celebrate the annual winners in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests, where Tung was one of three 2nd quarter illustrator winners for this year. She will be published in the international bestselling Science Fiction anthology series – L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume XXXI.
Tung has already won $500.00 prize money for the win. She will now compete with the remaining 11 winners for the grand prize of an additional $5,000.00. She will be assigned one of the 12 winning stories to illustrate for the anthology.
Tung will be flown to Hollywood to participate in a week long workshop taught by the blue ribbon panel of contest judges lead by Cliff Nielsen (Chronicles of Narnia artwork), followed by the gala awards ceremony at the end of the week.
Other judges and mentors attending during the week are Stephan Martiniere (The Fifth Element concept art), Dave Dorman (Star Wars art), Stephen Hickman (internationally commissioned artist), and Larry Elmore (Dungeons & Dragons) just to name a few.
The Contests were initiated by L. Ron Hubbard in 1983 shortly after returning to the field of science fiction with his bestseller Battlefield Earth.
