Turner Announces Award for Innovation Winners
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce the winners in the Award for Innovation program. The award recognizes and rewards individuals and groups for the development and implementation of ideas that have resulted in outstanding achievement at Turner. These achievements fall into many categories, including overcoming project challenges, improving business processes, and improving the company’s performance.
The program, now in its third year, offers four levels of cash prizes – Excellence, Distinction, Merit, and Innovative Idea – up to $10,000 and more than 800 employees have shared 325 ideas to make Turner a better company through advances in technology, sustainability, lean practices, building information modeling, safety, community engagement, learning and development, and field operations. The winning entries have earned prizes totaling $175,000. This year the company awarded more than $45,000 to 16 teams.
The top winning teams are:
Anthony Joyce and Matt Sullivan from Turner’s Chicago office, for development of the Turner Collaborative Construction Network. The Turner Collaborative Construction Network is a comprehensive document management suite to enable clients, architects, subcontractors and Turner staff to collaborate in a single, digital environment to find, submit, and track the most commonly used documents in the construction process.
Steven Rubino, Talin Asadoorian, Terry Block, Danielle Clarke, Daniela Diaz, Carolyn La Camera, Elizabeth O’Toole, Amy Sowersby, Michael Spignese, Kristin Stringer from Turner’s Boston office for development of a Project Engineer Manual. The Project Engineer Manual is a step‐by‐step manual for engineering, which standardizes operations across teams and creates training for all engineers and superintendents working on Turner’s enterprise-wide technology platform.
