TurningPoint Cloud by Turning Technologies in the Ukraine Regional Council

The system was recently used by the Tyachiv District Council, who used the event-friendly LT clicker to vote.
It was the first time the Council had ever used the system, which they had chosen due to its ease of use, simplicity and because of the free training provided by Turning Technologies. The Council needed a system to prevent corruption during voting and to show transparency in real time – hence TurningPoint Cloud was implemented.
Each deputy received an LT clicker, with buttons set for ‘Against’, ‘For’ and ‘Abstain’, and were given 10 seconds to make a decision about the questions posed, after which the results were shown on a large screen. The Council were asked to vote on important topics, such as the social and economic development in the Tyachiv district, approval of programmes and making changes to existing programmes, the policing system, amendments to the regional budget for 2016 and on the progress of roads and restoration work at sites damaged by a recent flood.
The Council loved the system and how easy it was to use, particularly the reporting features and capabilities, and they plan to use the system at every future event. ‘We highly recommend Turning Technologies and their systems for use at important events where voting is needed.
