Once the diseased vein is closed, blood will re-route itself to other healthy veins, often leading to the disappearance of the undesirable varicose vein and alleviation of symptoms. Compared with surgical options, minimally invasive ablation of the vein can result in less pain and quicker recovery time. The whole procedure lasts less than one hour in the office. After treatment, patients can walk immediately and return to normal activities.
