Tuxedo Park School Names New Head of School
Tuxedo Park, NY (PRWEB) July 24, 2015 -- Effective July 1, 2015, the appointment of Todd Stansbery as TPS' Head of School follows an extensive and deliberate search process, where over 40 qualified candidates applied for the position. Stansbery was selected after a rigorous vetting process and the unanimous decision by both the Search Committee and the school’s Board of Trustees.
“We are all very excited to welcome Todd. He has the qualifications, qualities and experience that best align with our strategic initiatives and he is truly the right fit for the TPS community. His leadership, guidance and commitment will serve us well in our mission to develop life-long learners and locally-minded global citizens,” said TPS Board of Trustees President Pam van der Lee.
Stansbery will be the 12th Head of School in the institution’s impressive 115-year history. He joins TPS following a decade-long tenure as Head of School at The Swain School, where through curriculum strengthening, innovative programs and STEAM initiatives, strategic planning and faculty development, he organically revitalized and developed the school both academically and financially.

Todd and his wife Nancy, Senior Advancement Officer for the NY metropolitan region for Dickinson College, have two children. Peter is a recent St. Andrew’s School graduate heading to Skidmore College this fall, and Peggy is a rising 8th grader at TPS.
Tuxedo Park School, located in Orange County, NY, is an independent coeducational school founded in 1900 with approximately 240 students grades pre-K through 9.
