Tuxedo Publishing Releases New Book for High School Students
Springfield, Virginia (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- Author Suzanne Lahl, Ph.D. has released a new book, “Surviving High School” (Amazon.com, $10.95). This book is designed to prepare younger students just starting out in high school with an idea of what it will be like. It also provides advice on starting out in life with information that many students are not taught in school. “My goal is to make high school and leaving home a little easier and less threatening for students,” says Dr. Lahl. “If I can help even a few young people find their way in life, I consider the book a success.”
“Surviving High School” covers such topics as how to navigate the social life of high school, how to pick the best classes, how to be a more successful student, how to apply to college, and how to stick to a budget. There are also tips on dealing with acne and peer pressure. Examples from the author’s own life are included to help students understand the concepts that are discussed.
Dr. Lahl has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Rutgers University and has spent many years working with both college-age and high school students, as a teacher, a tutor and a mentor. She is currently working as a high school science teacher.
