TV Personality and Executive Chef to Keynote PAYMENTS 2017 Awards Luncheon
HERNDON, Va. (PRWEB) December 13, 2016 -- NACHA —The Electronic Payments Association® announced today that TV personality Duff Goldman will serve as a keynote speaker at PAYMENTS 2017, the definitive destination for faster payments education that will take place April 23-26 in Austin, Texas.
Goldman will keynote the 2017 Payments Awards Luncheon, which is sponsored by TD Bank and will recognize outstanding innovation in the payments industry. Registration for PAYMENTS 2017 and the call for nominations for NACHA’s 2017 Payments Awards are now open.
Known for his entrepreneurial spirit as much as his unusual and daring cakes as executive chef of Baltimore-based Charm City Cakes, Food Network star Goldman will discuss “A Recipe for Success: Solving Problems Creatively While Pursuing Your Passion” during this year’s awards luncheon.
“Duff Goldman, also known as Chef Duff, pursued his passion in an innovative way. To his credit, he built an out-of-the-ordinary team of not only pastry chefs, but also painters, architects and sculptors,” said Janet O. Estep, president and CEO of NACHA. “It is this kind of original thinking, creative problem solving, and innovative team building that PAYMENTS 2017 attendees must continue to embrace as we propel the payments industry forward and prepare the marketplace for new products and solutions in this era of faster payments.”
At the luncheon, NACHA also will recognize the 2017 Payments Awards recipients. The prestigious Payments Awards celebrate proven accomplishment and leadership in the payments industry and recognize and reward the payments innovations defining the future.
NACHA’s Payments Awards are commemorated through two different awards. The NACHA Excellence in Payments Award honors an individual or organization that has shown superior leadership and accomplishment in the development, implementation or advancement of domestic or international electronic payments. The NACHA Challenge rewards a team or group of individuals developing new ways to leverage Same Day ACH to create innovative solutions to improve efficiencies and added capabilities within the payments system. Winners of the NACHA Challenge Award can also win up to $25,000 in prize money.
All payments industry participants are invited to submit nominations for the 2017 Payments Awards. NACHA is accepting nominations through Feb. 17, 2017. All nominations for both awards will be reviewed by a team of payments industry experts to determine the finalists for each award. Once finalists are determined, all industry participants will have an opportunity to help determine the winners of both awards through online voting beginning March 2017 for the Excellence in Payments Award, and at PAYMENTS 2017 for the NACHA Challenge Award. Winners of the awards will be announced on Tuesday, April 25, during the Payments Awards Luncheon in Austin.
