TVRage.com SPOTLIGHT: Ike Barinholtz Talks Morgan, Mindy, & a Spin-Off
(PRWEB) October 28, 2013 -- Ike Barinholtz is a comedian, writer and actor with an impressive resume. First hitting it big on 'MADtv,' Barinholtz has often had the unique pleasure of writing as well as acting in the same project. Now a fan-favorite character on 'The Mindy Project,' Barinholtz has written two-dozen episodes of the hit comedy, playing Morgan Tookers all the while.
Barinholtz also starred in 'The Morgan Project,' a series of webisodes centered on his 'Mindy' character. Barinholtz talked to TVRage.com's Co-News Editor, Allyson Koerner about working with James Franco on his favorite episode and the possibility of Morgan getting his own show. Here's an excerpt:
TVRage: As much as I love ‘The Mindy Project,’ I really enjoyed the Morgan web series, ‘The Morgan Project.’ If the opportunity ever came about, would you consider a Morgan spin-off?
Barinholtz: (laughs) Yes, if for some reason people demanded it. I want to give people what they want. That was a really, really fun experience shooting that. I really loved the scenes. I just totally want to push Mindy out of the focus, and really make it more about me. So, I’m waiting for the day, where I’m able to pin it into the lead role on this show and make it all about me. Any day now that’s going to happen.
