Two brothers are writing book about surviving the Boston Marathon Tragedy, for release in early 2014
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- "Twice as Strong" (ISBN 9781928662280) is the incredible story of JP and Paul Norden, two brothers who each lost a leg and sustained countless other injuries in the horrific Boston Marathon Bombing on April 15, 2013.
Much more than a chronological account of the events, "Twice as Strong" focuses on these brothers and their friends who were literally and figuratively scarred by the explosions in very different ways. These young adults from the same small town outside of Boston provide a previously unavailable view of the events of that day, and how it continues affecting them now and will for the rest of their lives.
“I don’t like that this has changed me as much as it has, but at the end of the day, I keep moving forward,” says Paul Norden. “Rehabilitation is hard,” J.P. Norden agrees, “but we won’t give up.”
The brothers are eager to tell their story about how they went to the marathon with friends, unfortunately stood next to the second bomb, and each ended up in a coma in separate hospitals. Their family also shares their experiences throughout the tragedy, including how their panicked mother stopped at nothing to find her sons among the chaotic Boston crowd.
Support from their friends, family, and the Boston community has helped them as they learn how to cope with their lives as amputees. Lessons in resiliency complete the story by providing tangible takeaways for readers to apply to challenges within their own lives.
"Twice as Strong" will be available in early 2014 from Palari Publishing. The book will be co-written by Dave Smitherman.
