Two Experienced Litigators Jump To Lewis Roca Rothgerber
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) July 21, 2015 -- Dan W. Goldfine and Joshua Grabel, two lawyers with extensive experience in business litigation including class actions, have joined the litigation practice at Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP, one of the largest commercial law firms in the western US, the firm announced today.
“Lewis Roca Rothgerber is investing in top legal talent as we continue to grow,” noted Mike Plachy, chair of the firm’s litigation practice. “Dan Goldfine and Josh Grabel each brings valuable experience in his own area of practice: Dan in antitrust matters, health care, white-collar criminal defense, and class actions, and Josh in construction and commercial real estate development.”
Goldfine focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense. He has defended national and international clients against antitrust, RICO, False Claims Act, and consumer fraud class actions in Federal and state courts in across the U.S. He has defended companies in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries, along with manufacturers and consumer marketers.
“Lewis Roca Rothgerber is growing strategically and its litigation practice offers a terrific environment in which to do great work for clients in Arizona and across the U.S., including in large-scale class action cases,” noted Goldfine. “The firm’s increasing prominence also affords us access to a broad, deep range of complementary skills.”
Goldfine joins Lewis Roca Rothgerber from Snell & Wilmer, where he was the head of the Government and Internal Investigations practice and formerly head of its Criminal Defense practice. He began his career as a Trial Attorney in the Anti-Trust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. Licensed to practice in Arizona and Minnesota and admitted to practice in the Eighth, Ninth and Eleventh Circuit Courts, Goldfine is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and earned his J.D. at the University of Minnesota Law School.
Grabel is a commercial litigator who focuses his practice on class action defense, antitrust, RICO, insurance defense, state and local public procurement law, construction litigation, and other complex commercial matters. He represents clients in federal and state courts, before local, state and federal agencies, and at private mediations and arbitrations. Josh has served as lead counsel for numerous multi-million dollar cases before state and federal courts, and on public bid protests before local, state, and federal agencies.
“I’m thrilled to be rejoining the firm, and I’m excited about serving clients from within this diverse and talented litigation practice group,” said Grabel. “Since its 2013 merger with the Rothgerber firm, the newly constituted Lewis Roca Rothgerber has heightened its visibility regionally and nationally, creating more opportunity to serve great clients—and with the right mix of people, to do it well.”
Grabel becomes one of more than 70 attorneys in the firm with experience in the real estate industry. Previously, he was at Snell and Wilmer in Phoenix, where he co-chaired its Government Contracting and Procurement Group and co-authored the Arizona section of the ABA’s Guide to State Procurement.
