Two of Southern California’s Best Cosmetic Dentists Conclude Trip to India Today
Oxnard, CA (PRWEB) April 20, 2014 -- Two of Ventura’s top cosmetic dentists conclude a trip to India today, April 20, during which they presented to more than 400 dentists.
Dr. Saj Jivraj and Dr. Mamaly Reshad of the Anacapa Dental Art Institute participated in a two-day, hands-on program in Mumbai and Delhi, where they lectured and gave live demonstrations of full mouth rehabilitation on implants that they use in Woodland Hills, teeth in a day.
Their trip in India began Thursday, April 10.
Dr. Jivraj said the trip was part of an ongoing educational initiative and includes worldwide online education.
Dr. Reshad said, “We speak all over the world, and our colleagues in India are as compassionate and desirous of learning new techniques as anywhere. It is our privilege to be able to share what we know.”
Dr. Jivraj is involved with dental practices in India in other ways, too, as he is partnering with leading dentists there to help educate fellow clinicians in cutting-edge dental techniques.
Nobel Biocare, the Rajan Dental Institute and Dr. Jivraj have formed a foundation to give patients with little or no resources state-of-the-art dental treatments.
The foundation’s educational arm, called the Anacapa Dental Art Institute of Teaching Excellence, will provide educational opportunities for dentists in India and launched this month.
Dr. Jivraj is an award-winning prosthodontist specializing in reconstructive, implant and cosmetic dentistry. He is a former chairman of University of Southern California School of Dentistry’s Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry section. Dr. Jivraj also is an international lecturer and has written almost 30 articles on implant and restorative dentistry for the British Dental Association.
Dr. Reshad, another former chairman of University of Southern California School of Dentistry’s Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry section, has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on topics related to prosthodontic, implant and aesthetic dentistry. A member of the editorial board for the highly prestigious Journal of Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Dr. Reshad is an honorary clinical teacher at the Eastman Dental Institute and a member of the faculty of the Global Institute for Dental Education. He also lectures internationally.
