Two Oxnard, Woodland Hills, Calif., Dentists Are National, International Speakers
Oxnard, CA (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- The two dentists at the Anacapa Dental Art Institute in Oxnard and Woodland Hills, Calif., have presented to multiple international and domestic audiences in the last few months, and their schedule shows no signs of lightening up.
Prosthodontists Dr. Mamaly Reshad and Saj Jivraj are two of the best cosmetic dentists in the world, and their expertise on full mouth reconstructions and procedures such as All-on-Four and All-on-Six dental implants are in high demand.
Since November, Dr. Reshad has spoken to both the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists in London and the Association Dentaire Française in Paris.
Dr. Reshad, who maintains an office in London and is a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, spoke about ceramic options in cosmetic restorations there.
“It was a whole-day event to teach all the British cosmetic dentists how to do nice cosmetic dentistry and making the right clinical choices,” he said.
In France, Dr. Reshad gave a lecture to the Association Dentaire Française on full-mouth implant reconstructions.
Dr. Reshad received a standing ovation from the 2,000 French dentists who attended his presentation during the association’s annual dental meeting at the end of November.
Full mouth reconstruction is all about creating beautiful and healthy mouths. Reconstructive dentistry includes anything that restores damaged or missing teeth, tissues and bones.
Extensive dental work is sometimes required because many people postpone dental treatments until absolutely necessary. The mouth, like any other organ of the body, is made up of various parts and each part functions with the other so that the mouth can do its job efficiently

Dr. Reshad recently also gave a recently gave a 1 ½-day course on full-mouth implant reconstructions in the Southern California area.
Dr. Reshad is an internationally known expert in cosmetic dentistry. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on various topics related to prosthodontics, aesthetics, and implant dentistry. Dr. Reshad is on the editorial board for the highly prestigious Journal of Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. He is an honorary clinical teacher at the Eastman Dental Institute and a member of the faculty of the Global Institute for Dental Education.
He and his partner at the Anacapa Dental Art Institute, Dr. Saj Jivraj, are are trained in advanced techniques in implant dentistry, aesthetics and full-mouth reconstructions. Their niche includes some minimally invasive or biomimetic techniques that originate in Europe. Many of their treatments avoid or use very little tooth reduction.
Both are also former chairmen of the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry’s Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry section.
Dr. Saj Jivraj, who is an award-winning prosthodontist who specializes in implant, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, like Dr. Reshad, he is a former chairmen of University of Southern California School of Dentistry’s Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry section.
Jivraj is co-author of the textbook “Treatment Planning in Implant Dentistry,” which is used around the world. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and is associate clinical editor for Dental Teamwork magazine.
Dr. Jivraj also has been busy recently. Dr. Jivraj presented in India recently, traveling to three cities – Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai – where he was involved in live patient demonstrations, teaching experienced dentists the All-on-Four dental implants technique. Jivraj has been placing implants for his patients since the 1990s and is recognized as an expert in the field by national and international groups of his peers.
Jivraj also was one of the main podium speakers at the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists conference in Mumbai, which was attended by more than 700 dentists. He participated in both theoretical and practical hands-on sessions.
The All-on-Four procedure provides a set of replacement teeth with a full arch implant rehabilitation without using bone grafting, which is often required in inserting dental implants. This procedure can give patients fixed permanent teeth in as little as one visit without the need for dentures or temporaries.
Closer to home, Dr. Jivraj recently presented about the All-on-4 procedure to more than 150 dentists at the North Houston Seattle Study Club in Houston, Texas, on Jan. 31.
“It was a full-day presentation for the All-on-4 procedure,” Dr. Jivraj said. “They invited me back to do another presentation.”
This month he and Dr. Reshad have a live presentation at the Nobel Biocare’s training facility, where they will lecture and also treat a patient live in front of other dentists.
“Dentists from all around the world come and attend,” Jivraj said. “It is two days of intense continuing education.”
On the first day, Dr. Jivraj and Dr. Reshad give a full-day lecture.
“On the second day it is a live surgery and restoration of a patient with the All-on-4, Teeth-in-a-Day concept,” Dr. Jivraj said. “We have three hours to remove a patient’s teeth, place four to six dental implants and provide them teeth that very same day.”
The patient can go home that very day and eat anything they like, he said.
The pair have future presentations in India, Europe and in Seattle, Wash., at one of the biggest implant meetings in the world for the annual meeting of the Academy of Osseointegration.
“Very few dentists get selected to speak to this group,” Dr. Jivraj said. “Speaking amongst the world’s best in implant dentistry.”
