U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps to Exhibit at AACP Encore Meeting and Host Market Research Session in Las Vegas
Fort Sam Houston, Texas (PRWEB) December 02, 2015 -- The U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps (MEDCOM) travels to Las Vegas, Nevada this week to exhibit at the 2015 American Academy of Clinical Psychiatrists (AACP) Encore Meeting and to hold a market research session aimed at improving recruitment efforts of behavioral health professionals.
The AACP Encore Meeting will be held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas from December 3-5. Event attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Civilian Corps recruiters to learn about the career opportunities for civilian behavioral health professionals with the U.S. Army Medical Command.
“There is a critical need for psychiatrists in U.S. Army hospitals and clinics across the nation. The AACP Encore Meeting provides a great opportunity for the Civilian Corps to connect with psychiatrists and those interested in civilian career opportunities,” says Dr. Joseph Harrison, Chief, Recruitment and Retention, Headquarters U.S. Army Medical Command, Civilian Human Resources Division.
In addition to exhibiting at the Encore meeting, the Civilian Corps will host an hour long focus group on Friday, December 4th with local behavioral health professionals. During the focus group, participants will provide feedback on the current marketing and recruitment materials targeting psychiatrists and other behavioral health professionals.
“Civilian psychiatrists and other mental health professionals are vital for providing comprehensive health care to the Army’s more than four million beneficiaries worldwide. Holding this market research session will allow us to refine our messaging and recruitment materials, and ultimately attract qualified behavioral health professionals to work for the Civilian Corps. ”
The focus group is being held at the Las Vegas Marriott from 8-9 am over breakfast. Participants will receive a $75 Visa gift card as thanks for their time and feedback. Behavioral Health professionals in the Las Vegas area interested in participating in the focus group can contact Annette Willis at annette(at)agencymabu(dot)com to reserve a seat.
