U.S. Pond Hockey Championships & Labatt Blue Announce Partnership
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- 2015 marks the 10th anniversary of the iconic U.S. Pond Hockey Championships held annually in Minneapolis, MN. Today, the Commissioner’s Office of the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships announced that a strategic partnership has been finalized with Labatt Blue to usher in a new era for the incredibly popular event. Beginning in 2015, the Labatt Blue U.S. Pond Hockey Championships will welcome thousands to beautiful Lake Nokomis to play hockey the way hockey was meant to be played - outdoors, in the cold air, between friends, on a pond.
“Each year, we look for corporate and strategic partners to help us not only put on the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships, but who are stewards of pond hockey, the purest form of the world’s greatest sport,” said Carson Kipfer, co-commissioner of the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships. “With their long term commitment to pond hockey, and proven track record of providing refreshment and great times to pond hockey players, Labatt Blue is the perfect partner for our event.”
“Labatt Blue has a long history of creating world-class experiences through pond hockey and we are excited to be a long-term partner of the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships,” said Lisa Texido, Brand Manager, Labatt Family. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with an event and team that loves hockey as much as we do.”
In addition to becoming the title sponsor, Labatt Blue also becomes the Official Beer of the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships. Planning is already underway for the highly anticipated 10th annual Championships with registration opening at 10am Central time on August 6th.
“When I think of matches made in heaven, I think of Gretzky and Messier, ketchup and mustard, and now Labatt Blue and U.S. Pond Hockey Championships,” ended Kipfer.
