U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, 15th Dist. & Dublin's Mayor Tim Sbranti, Candidate for the 16th Assembly Dist. to Start Runners at the 21st Annual Forma Gym Turkey Trot
Walnut Creek, CA (PRWEB) November 27, 2013 -- The 21st Annual Forma Gym Turkey Trot will host a variety of races including 5K, 10K, and Kids Runs. The fun takes place in beautiful downtown Walnut Creek and is one of the most popular runs on Thanksgiving Day in the Bay Area.
U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, California’s 15th District, and Tim Sbranti, Mayor of Dublin and Candidate for State Assembly, California's 16th District, will be present to start the race off with a bang and show their support for health, fitness, and giving back to the community.
This year, the run will host 6000-7000 runners, walkers, and kids with an official start time of 8:00 AM.
Forma Gym, a locally owned and operated large scale health club in Walnut Creek, is on a mission to improve the lives of others through charitable donations, exercise, and overall health in the Bay Area. Last year, in an effort to promote a city-wide celebration of fitness, exercise, health, and most importantly, giving back, Forma Gym donated over $50,000 and 200 turkeys to various nonprofit organizations. This year, beneficiaries include local public schools, The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, Wellness City Challenge, San Pablo Community Coalition and Forma Kids Foundation. This is a great event for the entire family and a fun, generous way to kick off your Thanksgiving Day.
