U.S. Security Associates Gives Turkeys and Thanks
ATLANTA, Georgia (PRWEB) November 26, 2014 -- U.S. Security Associates (USA) is helping many Americans in need enjoy the comfort of a good holiday meal this Thanksgiving. With more than 160 offices and 46,000 employees, the national security company is making a positive difference in lives from coast to coast this Thanksgiving.
For U.S. Security Associates, “charity begins at home” in Georgia, where the security company is headquartered. This Thanksgiving, U.S. Security Associates is donating to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia to help make a special holiday meal possible for the area’s needy, ill, elderly, and children. The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia serves 14 counties in the state. Last year the Food Bank distributed almost 12 million pounds of food to 225 non-profit organizations that assist struggling families and individuals.
In the Midwest, the Chicago branch office of U.S. Security Associates is donating a complete Thanksgiving holiday spread to a family of 9 in need. Security service employees from USA’s Chicago office are personally delivering the fully prepared meal, along with canned goods and blankets, on Thanksgiving Day.
On the East coast, U.S. Security Associates’ Boston branch office is donating 100 turkeys to the residents of Theroch Apartments and 100 turkeys to the residents of Mission Main Apartments. Both apartment communities serve families of low and moderate income. In addition to the turkey donation, USA also contributed two cakes, pies, and hall decorations to the Senior Thanksgiving Dinner held at Mission Main on Wednesday, November 19. John Parretti, USA’s Boston Branch Manager, and Aury Maldonado, Director of Operations, assisted in serving the 300+ residents who attended.
“We donate turkeys to residents of these apartments every year,” says Parretti. “I think all of us at the Boston branch office would agree that delivering those turkeys is one of the highlights of our holiday. It’s a rewarding experience for our security officers and branch staff to give back to the community we serve. I think we are all reminded of how much we have to be thankful for.”
USA’s affiliate, Staff Pro Inc., is pitching in on the West Coast this Thanksgiving to help people who might otherwise go hungry. Staff Pro is partnering with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to fight hunger through a canned food donation drive. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank serves one million people each year, in partnership with 670 agencies that distribute food in L.A. County.
With the December holidays just around the corner, employees of U.S. Security Associates and its affiliates are already making plans to donate time, food, and gifts to more worthy causes in the upcoming weeks.
