U.S. Security Associates Industry Veteran Retires
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) March 11, 2016 -- U.S. Security Associates (USA) announces the retirement of Guido R. “Rick” Massimei. In 1976, Massimei entered the corporate world of the private security industry where he began his career as General Manager of Metro Security in Tampa, FL.
Over the next 40 years, Massimei became partner and eventually president of Metro Security and served in numerous professional industry leadership roles that include ASIS regional Vice President, long time Chairman of the ASIS Private Security Services Council, President of National Associations of Security Companies (NASCO) in 2000-2002, and was founder and the first President of the Florida Association of Security Companies (FASCO).
Prior to his tenure in the private security industry, Massimei served in the United States Armed Forces in a variety of capacities, serving initially in a Security Police Unit and then as a Special Agent for the Office of Special Investigations. Later, he transferred to United States Army where he served as a Criminal Investigator of the Criminal Investigation Command of the United States of America. During his 20 years of military service, Massimei was recognized for his outstanding service with numerous military decorations.
Equally decorated is Massimei’s corporate career in the security industry. He is a recognized throughout the industry for his executive leadership having been awarded the ASIS Council Chairperson of the year, the ASIS Paul Hansen Award, NASCO’s Minot Dodson Award and NCISS John J. Duffy Award.
In his most recent role, Massimei served as Special Advisor to the Chairman of U.S. Security Associates. Charles Schneider, Chairman and founder of U.S. Security Associates said, commenting on Massimei’s remarkable career and specifically his valued tenure with U.S. Security Associates that, “following a distinguished career in government service and private security, Rick was the President of Advance Security when U.S. Security Associates acquired the company. After the acquisition, Rick continued to serve as President of Advance Security and upon his retirement from active employment he represented U.S. Security Associates in industry affairs for many years.
