U.S. Security Associates Publishes New Training Course Catalog
ATLANTA, Georgia (PRWEB) July 30, 2015 -- U.S. Security Associates (USA) announces the release of the new USA Security Academy Course Catalog, featuring the addition of 16 new course offerings since the last publication date of September 2014. As one of America’s largest security companies, with more than 160 local offices, U.S. Security Associates established USA Security Academy to deliver centralized, consistent training for thousands of employees nationwide. USA Security Academy provides security company personnel with professional skills, practical training, and advanced education and certifications to prepare them for careers in the security industry.
Approximately 700 different training courses are now available through USA Security Academy, meeting the diverse needs of security personnel working in a variety of industries and settings. One of the new offerings is an 8-hour Advanced Anti-Terrorism Training Program. Intended to meet the training requirements of the Department of Homeland Security’s Safety Act, this training is mandatory for all mall and shopping center security officers.
Two other new courses, Ammonia Awareness and Fall Protection, meet the basic requirements at certain client sites for complying with training standards identified by ISNetworld, a global contractor management firm that helps clients manage contractors and suppliers according to industry best practices.
USA Security Academy’s certified instructors are developing new courses all the time to expand the company’s training library, meet regulatory and contractual requirements, and respond to evolving security threats. The new includes courses on Ebola and Enterovirus, Measles Awareness Prevention and Response, and Pandemic Preparedness, released in timely response to public concern about the spread of Ebola and Measles.
Another new course offering for 2015 is the first in a series of training modules on USA’s technology apps. “Technology is an area where we are leapfrogging ahead of the industry,” explains USA Training Manager Robert Lowrey. “We are unique in that we have internal developers who are not just patching together third party products but actually creating next-generation technology that will establish a new, elevated industry standard.
According to Lowrey, in recent months, USA Security Academy has also custom-developed courses for large retail, financial, and higher education clients. Due to confidential content, these are not listed in the course catalog.
Lowrey points to steadily-expanding course offerings and innovative learning strategies as factors that have contributed to USA’s many training awards. In 2015, the company won its third BEST Award from the Association for Talent Development and earned Gold LearningElite status from Chief Learning Officer magazine. Training magazine has ranked USA among the world's Top 125 training companies for 9 consecutive years.
