U.S. Security Associates Wins Training Magazine’s Top 125 Award for Eighth Consecutive Year
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Training magazine announced yesterday that once again, U.S. Security Associates ranks among the global elite in employer-sponsored training and development programs. Training magazine is the leading business publication for learning and development and human resources professionals. This is the eighth consecutive year that U.S. Security Associates has been recognized in the Top 125, and according to Lorrie Freifeld, editor-in-chief of Training magazine, “This year, the competition was stronger than ever.”
“Kudos to the 2014 Training Top 125 winners!” says Freifeld. “They demonstrated an unrelenting focus on effective training and employee development tied to corporate strategic goals and measurable results.”
As a Top 125 award winner, U.S. Security Associates is one of a select group of companies Training magazine describes as “unsurpassed in harnessing human capital.”
Finalists for the Top 125 are evaluated based on a range of benchmarking statistics, with ranking on the list determined according to quantitative and qualitative factors. Considerations for award include training technology and infrastructure, training budget and percentage of payroll, employee turnover and retention, and how closely a company’s training and development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
“The 2013 release of our Security Officer Short Segment training series is a great example of how we tie our training and development programs to business goals and objectives,” observes Chuck Schneider, U.S. Security Associates President and CEO. “By providing security officer training in convenient 20-minute installments, we meet an urgent need in today’s security service industry, where shrinking margins and security program cuts increase pressure for us to do more with less. High-impact training with a short time commitment has the potential to reach more security officers, more often. It strikes a good balance between due diligence and security program cost control.”
In a column published this month, Chief Learning Officer magazine recognizes the role of awards programs like ASTD’s BEST in making best practices more widely known and accessible. Indeed, learning and development professionals from every industry turn to Training magazine to learn what top training companies are doing. The January/February 2014 issue will salute this year’s winners with in-depth profiles of the five top-ranked companies and information about the training efforts of all 125 winners.
The ranking of award winners within the Top 125 will be unveiled February 3, 2014 at an awards gala that kicks off the Training 2014 Conference & Expo in San Diego, California.
