Uberflip Named One of Canada’s Top Employers
TORONTO (PRWEB) April 18, 2018 -- Uberflip, a cloud-based content experience platform that empowers B2B marketers to deliver personalized content experiences at scale, has been selected as one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers. The editorial competition published by The Globe and Mail, recognizes the nation’s best SME workplaces in the country.
“This is an exciting honor for our company as we continue to grow and add new talent in many areas of the business. Uberflip’s workplace spirit and culture is our first priority as an organization. We believe this, coupled with our talented team and innovative platform, will lead us to greater success,” said Yoav Schwartz, Uberflip’s Co-Founder and CEO.
This month, the company moved to its brand new 30,000 square foot headquarters in downtown Toronto, located in a former factory near Toronto's Liberty Village. The new location will allow Uberflip to grow from 100 employees to approximately 280. The company has increased its headcount by almost 20% in 2017 alone.
As one of Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers, Uberflip was recognized for:
Brand New Headquarters
Uberflip’s brand new headquarters in downtown Toronto is housed in a renovated industrial building and features an interactive employee lounge with video games, foosball, and a pool table. It is equipped with a gym, a 35-seat room for internal training, a stage for community events, and a fully stocked kitchen.
Commitment to Health and Wellness
Employees are encouraged to make personal health and wellness a priority with weekly onsite fitness classes hosted by a professional instructor. Classes include yoga, kickboxing, and Krav Maga self-defence. Employees are also given a $250 healthy lifestyle credit per year to use on anything from a new bicycle to registration for a soccer league.
Performance Recognition
Uberflip is committed to making sure employees believe in what they’re helping to build. Team-building events that support both the company vision and career guidance are part of its performance recognition program. The company also provides a $1,000 annual allowance for professional development.
In addition, Uberflip is proud of its strong culture focused on giving back one percent of revenue growth to charity. It has launched events like Startupong, which raised $15,000 last year for the SickKids Foundation. Returning for its fourth year on April 25th, Uberflip is hoping to more than triple that amount this year while bringing together tech startups in the spirit of community, giving back, and friendly competition.

About Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers
Now in its 5th year, Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer the nation's best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. 2018 winners were announced in a special magazine published in The Globe and Mail on April 13, 2018. To determine eligibility, the Top 100 editors adopted the SME definition used by Statistics Canada, limiting the competition to private-sector commercial organizations with under 500 employees. Employers are evaluated using the same eight criteria as the national competition.
