UCA open for Clearing Courses now
London (PRWEB UK) 8 August 2013 -- If you have your results, taken a gap year or want to switch to a creative degree, then UCA’s admissions team are ready and waiting to help you study at the same university as Karen Millen, Tracey Emin, Zandra Rhodes and four Oscar winners. For more information on clearing courses 2013 click here: http://clearing.ucreative.ac.uk/.
UCA offers top degrees in Film, Fashion, Architecture, Art, Design, Animation, Crafts, Graphics, Journalism, and many more, at its campuses in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Rochester.
Sarah Simms, Head of Admissions at UCA, said: “Contrary to popular belief, Clearing starts much earlier than A-Level results day. We can offer places to anyone who hasn’t got a place at university right now, if they have already received their exam results.
“By calling early, we can help take the stress out of finding a course at university and let you know your options as soon as possible, whatever your results.
“Even if you haven’t applied for a university course through UCAS, we can still help you start a degree in September so there are plenty of options available.
“And, if you don’t receive the results you were expecting, we also offer pre-degree and 4 year courses which include a preparatory year so that you can enrol in 2013 and graduate in 2017.”
Nicole Ranger applied for her fashion course at UCA through Clearing last year and was surprised at how easy the process was.
Nicole, who is 20 and will start her second year in September, said: “The team at the UCA took the time to understand my background and was interested in the progress I’d made during the foundation art and design course. After exploring all the options with them I was put forward for a place on the fashion course and was delighted to be accepted over the phone.”
“Clearing resulted in a great outcome for me - I love studying at the UCA and I feel I get a much better education than if I’d gone to somewhere with much larger classes. I get a lot of support and one to one feedback which I feel puts me in a really strong position.”
Sarah added: “My top tips for Clearing would be to get in touch with the Admissions Team now, as there is a lot we can do to help students in the lead-up to Results Day.
“If you haven’t got your results yet, be pro-active and check out which universities offer similar courses to the ones you’ve applied to, as a back-up, and investigate the Clearing process so that you’re prepared if you don’t get the results you want.”
“And, don’t be afraid to call or email the Admissions Teams – they’re the ones who have the information and experience to talk you through your individual circumstances way before A Level Results Day.”
UCA still has places available for September 2013 in Animation, Architecture, Crafts, Fashion, textiles, Film, Fine Art, Graphics, Illustration, Journalism, Marketing, Digital, Photography and Product Design.
