UK Digital forms startup SignTech Forms selected to compete in Elance’s Big Idea Pitch event at Google’s Campus London on 30th January
London, Greater London (PRWEB UK) 29 January 2014 -- This innovative event is sponsored by Elance, the California-based online workplace where businesses go to find, hire, manage and collaborate with skilled online freelancers.
SignTech, and four other UK startups, will pitch their products or services to a panel of tech-savvy judges which includes; Simon Jenner MD of the Oxygen Accelerator, Rackspace’s Marketing Director for start-ups John Webb, Rebecca Burn-Callander, Enterprise Editor for the Telegraph and Hayley Conick, the UK Country Manager for sponsors Elance.
The lineup of panelists is completed by Tom Adeyoola, founder and CEO of UK startup Metail, who will also be giving a keynote speech on the subject of start-up struggles and successes.
At the event, each entrepreneur will pitch their idea to the panelists and describe the work they’ve done. The winners will receive prizes including an iPad from Elance and business services from Oxygen, Rackspace and Elance as well as a much sought after spot in the global final.
Similar events are taking place simultaneously in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Copenhagen, Berlin, Melbourne and there is a wildcard card event for those entrants coming from other destinations.
The Global Final, which is to be held online on February 6th, will be an opportunity for the eight finalists from those events, like the one in London, in to compete for a Grand Prize of a $10,000 credit balance on Elance plus the chance to pitch their startup proposition to venture capitalists and hopefully secure investment for their business.
SignTech is a company dedicated to the goal of reducing paper usage in the office by reducing the number of documents that need to be printed and used in paper form. This is achieved by means of their state-of-the-art digital form creation process which can produce digital versions of any form, contract, agreement and other business document which can then be sent to wherever they are needed in a matter of seconds.
That process certainly achieves SignTech’s ambition to help move us all into a paperless age but it is their ability to enable those paperless documents to be signed on a touch screen device running their app that really makes the SignTech Forms solution truly irresistible.
Signatures obtained in this way are legally binding and that means that there is no reason why a paper form that requires a signature cannot now be replaced with a digital one.
