UK teacher trainers, St George International, win further Russian contracts following successful Moscow courses
(PRWEB UK) 31 October 2013 -- UK teacher training specialists, St George International, have just delivered a series of much acclaimed refresher courses to Russian teachers of English in Moscow. The series of intensive one week courses, sponsored by Pearson, focused on new ideas and techniques that were a revelation to the participating teachers. Anna Alisevich, an attendee of one of the courses, had this to say...
“The strongest point is that the course gives practical support to teachers, new ideas that can be used in classrooms immediately. After this course I feel more confident in my classroom. The input sessions were well-staged and extremely supportive. It appealed to me that the workshops were lively and held in a friendly atmosphere. It was great to share experience with other trainees in the group.”
Anna’s response was typical of the hundred or so Russian teachers who attended the courses. There is clearly a thirst for new ideas to inform English language teaching in Russia, something St George International are well-equipped to provide.
Max Loach, the School Principal of St George International said...
“We’re absolutely delighted to have been given the chance to provide these teacher refresher courses. With over twenty years experience of English language teacher training, and an extremely experienced pool of talented teacher trainers, based at our London school, I knew that, given the opportunity, we would be able deliver exceptional and memorable training courses for the Moscow teachers”.
On the back of this success there are plans afoot for SGI to run another series of these teacher training courses in early 2014, a move welcomed by the trainers!
David Birch, one of SGI’s most senior teacher trainers enthused about his time in Moscow.....
“I was really looking forward to doing the training in Moscow and it did prove to be a hugely rewarding experience, the local teachers were so responsive and appreciative of the training, all very satisfying, I look forward to going out there again!”
