Unbound Blog Publishes '10 Ways Unbound Works To #UpgradeYourWorld'
Kansas City, Kan. (PRWEB) August 21, 2015 -- Unbound, an international humanitarian organization working in 20 countries to alleviate poverty, has announced its entry in the Windows 10 #UpgradeYourWorld campaign.
Unbound hopes to be the 10th global nonprofit picked to win $500,000 to support its work. The campaign is part of a Microsoft $10 million investment in organizations that are making the world better.
The 10th nonprofit will be chosen by public votes collected from Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
“Promoting Unbound in the Microsoft #UpgradeYourWorld campaign is a great opportunity for us to help more children, youth and elders all over the world,” said Chris Dolt, social media coordinator at Unbound. “Through Microsoft and the power of social media, Unbound can explain its mission to new people and share how they can get involved.”
Unbound provides personal attention and direct benefits to children, youth, elders and their families so they may live with dignity, achieve their potential and participate fully in society.
Unbound invites people of goodwill to live in daily solidarity with the world’s poor through one-to-one sponsorship.
“Unbound has a long history of being excellent stewards of our resources,” said Martin Kraus, director of finance at Unbound. “Being selected for this Microsoft gift would allow Unbound to help many more families struggling to meet their basic needs.”
Unbound supporters can vote daily on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using the hashtags #UpgradeYourWorld and #Vote.
The contest ends Aug. 23.
