Unicon Completes Identity and Access Management Services for Campus Televideo
Gilbert, AZ (PRWEB) June 10, 2015 -- Unicon, Inc., a leading IT consulting, services, and support provider specializing in open source for the education technology market, today announced completion of identity and access management (IAM) services for Campus Televideo’s CTVstream. Campus Televideo provides cable TV services to students living on campus in residence halls at colleges and universities in the United States. CTVstream is the gateway infrastructure between the OTT (over-the-top) Service Providers and institutions. Campus Televideo enlisted Unicon to perform IAM services to enable CTVstream to provide access to value-added OTT content that premium cable channels provide to their subscribers.

The services Unicon provided included authentication and authorization technology, hosting, and managed services. The authentication component leveraged open source SimpleSAMLphp software to bridge the authentication requests from the OTT Services Providers to the campus-based authentication service. Using custom built Java programming technology, authorization to access the OTT content is only made available to eligible users.
