Unified Power Looks To Military To Fill New Positions
TERRELL, TEXAS (PRWEB) August 20, 2015 -- In an effort to meet ongoing customer requirements and respond to continued business growth, Unified Power is looking to the U.S. military to help bolster its existing service team. With positions now open for 12 UPS technicians located throughout the country, Unified Power seeks to fill the slots with military applicants.
“Our company has been rewarded by the military, and we intend to reciprocate by working with military personnel in return,” said Chris Roach, President and CEO of Unified Power. “Hiring military applicants has been great for our customers and our business. These young men and women come to our company armed with outstanding technical skills, positive attitudes, and a real commitment to excellence. We’ve had great success with our military recruits, and we see this as a tremendous win-win opportunity.”
Last year Unified Power, in conjunction with its partner Computer Sites, Inc., was awarded a 5-year contract by the Department of the U.S. Air Force. The $47 million agreement encompasses the worldwide emergency maintenance/ preventative maintenance contract for the support of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) equipment.
For the new technician positions, Unified Power is seeking applicants who can qualify for secret clearance and who have completed comprehensive electrical and electronics military training that position them well for learning the intricacies of critical power technologies. New recruits will learn how to service, install and maintain UPS, battery and electronic-based products at customer sites.
The vision of Unified Power is to bring together advanced critical power services, sales and testing capabilities to become the premier independent power services company in North America. Under its various brands, the organization has provided thousands of companies across the nation with affordable and reliable critical power services for their UPS and battery systems for more than two decades.
The Unified Power brand began in January 2011 when Pfingsten Partners purchased On Computer Services, a national critical power service company located in Terrell, Texas. Other companies under the Unified Power brand include Baltimore-based Power Protection Unlimited, Sun Sales Company of Albuquerque, UPSCO of Glenmont, Ohio and Power Protection Services of Dallas.
