Union Metrics Expands Tumblr Analytics Offering
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- Union Metrics, the maker of popular Twitter analytics service TweetReach, and Union Metrics for Tumblr, the first enterprise analytics tool for Tumblr, today announced it released several new features and pricing options for its existing Tumblr analytics offerings. In addition, the company is opening up its waitlist and inviting in the first users for its new free Tumblr analytics.
Union Metrics, preferred provider of analytics as part of Tumblr's A-List program, launched Union Metrics for Tumblr in November 2012 as the first Tumblr analytics product based on the full firehose of Tumblr data and featuring full-text search of that firehose. Union Metrics for Tumblr was originally released with professional-grade subscriptions designed for brands and agencies running marketing campaigns on Tumblr. Since then, the company has signed customers such as Funny Or Die, Puma, Yale University, House of Radon, Digg, We Are Social, Rhode Island School of Design, and Hyatt, who have adopted the product to measure engagement with their blogs and track their own and their competitors’ brand mentions on Tumblr.
“We're excited to continue our partnership with Union Metrics to give our community valuable insight into how others engage with their content and understand how posts travel through the Tumblr ecosystem,” said Derek Gottfrid, VP of Product at Tumblr. “From large brands to individual bloggers, we've seen a huge desire to be able to measure interaction with their content and this newest version of their offering will allow users to do just that.”
Today, Union Metrics is rolling out two large new features. Subscribers to Union Metrics for Tumblr can now track followers of their blogs, a highly requested feature. The product now also provides integration with Google Analytics, giving users access to their blog’s web traffic metrics alongside engagement performance of their content. These new features complement existing detailed interaction and influencer analytics, coupled with competitor blog and keyword tracking. All of this is delivered in interactive reports that enable users to continuously monitor their Tumblr presence, with full data archive and export.
In addition to the new features, Union Metrics has also rounded out its subscription plan levels to meet the needs of professional bloggers and small business Tumblr users by adding a new lower-cost tier, giving users the ability to analyze up to three of their Tumblr blogs for $25 per month.
Finally, Union Metrics is also expanding beyond its paid offerings to provide the first-ever free Tumblr analytics built on the full-scale Tumblr firehose. Today the company is opening up its waitlist and inviting in the first free users. A free Union Metrics for Tumblr account includes detailed engagement metrics for individual bloggers - those who make Tumblr the vibrant and creative community it is today. A free account includes ongoing analytics for a Tumblr blog and features:
- Post and notes counts and trends over time
- Follower count tracking
- Identification of curators and influencers
- Performance metrics on individual posts
- Visualization of the spread of reblogs through the popular reblog tree
- Analysis of your blog’s tags and post types
Since its start in 2007, Tumblr has become a thriving social community for creatives and now hosts more than 122 million blogs and 55 billion posts, and users create nearly 80 million new posts each day. Union Metrics has been consuming the Tumblr firehose for over a year, processing more than 40 billion posts, reblogs and likes so far.
“Since launching Union Metrics for Tumblr, we’ve seen tremendous adoption among many of the world's largest brands across a wide breadth of industries,” said Hayes Davis, CEO of Union Metrics. “Today's announcement puts our powerful analytics into even more people's hands - regardless of budget and resources. We are excited to extend the functionality of our professional product while also being able to equip personal bloggers with data and insight into their blogs.”
