Unique Home Plate Brush Invented for Umpires - Designed by InventHelp Client (ALL-870)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 16, 2016 -- An inventor from Cartersville, Ga., noticed how often baseball and softball umpires need to clean off home plate during the game in order to keep it free of dirt and dust. He decided to create a device that would make that responsibility easier than a conventional broom.
He developed a prototype of the patent-pending THE KICK DUSTER to remove dirt and dust from a baseball or softball home plate quickly and easily. At the same time, it eliminates the need for the umpire to bend over to clean off home plate. Therefore, it reduces stress and strain on the back, legs and knees. As a result, it encourages umpires to sweep the plate more often, thus improving field maintenance. A consistently cleaner home plate also affords peace of mind for pitchers and their fans. Furthermore, this device is compact, lightweight and easy to attach, use and remove. Other benefits include convenience, effectiveness and a reasonable price.
The inventor’s personal interest inspired the idea. “I just wanted to make the job easier for baseball and softball umpires who need to keep home plate clean by sweeping it off frequently during the game,” he said. “With this idea, they would no longer need to bend over to dust off the base.”
