University Business Magazine and Higher One Honor Seven Colleges and Universities as "Models of Efficiency"
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- University Business magazine and Higher One Inc. are honoring seven colleges and universities in the winter 2013 round of their "Models of Efficiency" program. Models of Efficiency, a national recognition program launched by the magazine in 2010, in partnership with Higher One, honors institutions of higher learning that meet the education business and technology challenges of today’s campuses.
Each honoree is recognized for its efforts in streamlining operations, resulting in improved services being provided in less time, often requiring fewer staff hours, and at a lower cost.
"Honorees continue to push the envelope in collaborative creativity," said Tim Goral, senior editor of University Business. "As a result, by working together, departments within these higher ed institutions have found ways to improve services and reduce costs even in cases where there was no funding available to help. We’re pleased to honor their accomplishments."
The winter 2013 honorees are: Boise State University (Idaho); The George Washington University (Washington, D.C.); LDS Business College (Utah), which is being honored for two efforts; University of Rhode Island; University of Southern Indiana; Valdosta State University (Ga.); and Wayland Baptist University (Ariz.).
Full descriptions of the winter 2013 honorees’ efforts, as well as application information for upcoming rounds, can be found at http://www.universitybusiness.com/moe. The next submission deadline is January 14, 2014.
"This latest round of Models of Efficiency honorees have proven to be very innovative in how they arrive at a solution, and their results are impressive," said Miles Lasater, president and chairman of Higher One. "We are proud to join University Business in supporting and recognizing these institutions for their successful efforts."
