University House Issaquah Retirees Enlist Santa, Families and Pancakes to Raise Funds for Eastside Fire & Rescue
(PRWEB) November 28, 2014 -- On Saturday, December 6th from 8:30am – 11am, the public is invited to join in the holiday spirit with an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast and $5 Santa pictures at University House Issaquah, 22975 S.E. Black Nugget Rd. in Issaquah 98029.
Firefighters and medics from Eastside Fire and Rescue serve flapjacks, sausages and other breakfast delights all morning long for a suggested donation of $10. Children and the young-at-heart can enjoy a brilliant Winter Wonderland themed ballroom where Santa and his elves are on hand for photos, gift requests and a little advice – be nice, not naughty.
University House Issaquah hopes to raise $2000 with the pancake breakfast and Santa photos for Eastside Fire & Rescue to grow the general fund which helps off-set expenses and purchase life saving equipment. In 2013 University House Issaquah helped fund Oceanaid, a water rescue vehicle currently used by Eastside Fire and Rescue, with the proceeds from its annual pancake breakfast and Santa photo event.
“Our annual pancake breakfast and Santa photo party is amazing because we get to meet so many neighbors, help the heroes in our community and have a lot of fun,” said University House Issaquah Executive Director, Lynda Krill.
Visual story elements include:
• Reindeer fire engine with Santa and Mrs. Claus
• Winter Wonderland with children, seniors and families enjoying the season
• Eastside Fire & Rescue firefighters and medics serving up breakfast and coffee
